NOW TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR
2024 PASSION TO FIND A CURE GRANTS

The Thomas J. Beaston Jr. Foundation seeks applications from outstanding biomedical researchers with academic rank of a) Senior Instructors b) Assistant Professor or higher from accredited institutions for the 2024 “Passion to Find a Cure” Program. The Foundation seeks to fund innovative research to better understand and find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.

Among the areas of highest priority include: beta cell transplantation and regeneration, autoimmunity issues, diabetes related complications and management of T1D using devices. Proposals will be reviewed by a scientific advisory board and grants will be issued on the basis of creativity, relevance, feasibility and available funds.

The Foundation will look to fund up to five, two-year projects at $125,000 per year, with an additional up to $12,500 in indirect costs. The Thomas J. Beatson Jr. Foundation values diversity and inclusion and we encourage applicants from underrepresented minorities in biomedical research.
